Panaji/Fatorda: Goa Forward Party President and TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has said that Cancer can not only kill dreams of the patients and his family but can also kill dream of the State.

Sardesai was speaking during the Cancer Awareness Camp organised by All India Malayalee Association, Goa at Fatorda organised by Manipal Hospitals.

“Cancer is such a disease which can not only kill the dreams of a patient and a family but kills dreams of a state,” said Sardesai giving example of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

“We tied up with him and in no aspect of political calculation, we would ever imagine that he would get cancer. It could have killed our dream but God is great, God has still given him strength to carry on and complete every commitment he has given to Goenkars and the state,” he said.

The minister said that he would be meeting CM Parrikar tomorrow to thank him as Kabrasthan project got funding after his action.

“For the next work, I am going to meet him.  We are going to show that, CM inspite of suffering from advanced stage of cancer is keeping up the promise,” he said.

Sardesai, later while participating in the Free Eye Check Up Camp organised by Goa Panchayat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan and Village Panchayat Cortalim, announced to hold free eye camps in each and every ward of Fatorda Constituency soon.

“We have to have the vision to support those who are positive and who want to take Goa Forward. We for Fatorda will organize such eye camps in every ward of Fatorda Constituency soon,” he said.
