Panaji: Amid strong rumors of a possible cabinet reshuffle on April 4, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that it would be a political decision and refused to confirm or deny any changes.
Sawant stated that the decision on the cabinet reshuffle would be communicated to the media a day in advance, allowing them to inform the public.
Rumors regarding a cabinet reshuffle on April 4 have been circulating widely. The Budget session of the Goa Legislative Assembly is set to conclude on April 26.
“Don’t trust these dates (like April 4); someone comes up with a date, and everyone starts talking about it,” the Chief Minister said. He added that the cabinet reshuffle will happen in due time, whenever it is necessary.
“Cabinet reshuffle is a political decision. We will need to analyze how it will benefit the party, the government, and also take into account the perspective of the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections,” he said.
Sawant further stated that the cabinet reshuffle will be decided with the goal of ensuring that the party remains in power.
