Panaji: Renowned businessman and football promoter Peter Vaz passed away to COVID-19 infection in a hospital at Bengaluru.

Vaz was initially admitted in Goa Medical College and Hospital and was later shifted to Bengaluru. He passed away last night.

 

DIGAMBAR KAMAT CONDEMNS THE DEATH

Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat said that he is deeply saddened by the passing away of Vaz, whom he termed as his friend.

Kamat said “Deeply saddened by the passing away of my friend Peter Vaz. A young and dynamic entrepreneur and football promoter, his contribution to Goa will always be remembered. My condolences to his family, friends and fans. May his soul rest in peace.

 

VIJAI SARDESAI CONDOLES THE DEATH

Sardesai tweeted “Saddened by death of Peter Vaz being d latest victim to Covid19. A self made innovative Goemkar entrepreneur and trusted name in real estate, construction, hospitality, leisure and football in Goa. Condolences to the family friends, more than a 1000 employees and fans of Sporting Club de Goa #RIP
