Mapusa: On the occasion of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s birthday, the Aldona Youth Congress on Saturday provided groceries to 50 families and distributed Senitizers & Masks to more than 100 people.
Chairman of Media Department Amarnath Panjikar, Aldona Block Congress President Ashwin De Souza, Aldona Youth Congress members Nichi Karapurkar, Manish Lingudkar,Saisha Bagkar,Komal Jadhav, Vithal Arondekar, Pranav Phadte, Nikhil Pednekar,Shailesh Korgaonkar and others were present.
The program was carried out as a part of the All India program of Indian Youth Congress under the leadership of B V Srinivas at National level and Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Adv. Varad Mardolkar in Goa.
Speaking on the occasion Amarnath Panajikar praised the work of Rahul Gandhi and about his encouragement to Congress workers to support people in this testing times of COVID. “Service to humanity should be our motto in life. Our leader Rahul Gandhi is a source of inspiration and motivation for all of us and we are following him to help and serve the people.” Panajikar said.
“Rahul Gandhi didn’t celebrate his birthday, instead encouraged Congress workers to help people.” He said.
“I feel proud about the activities of Youth Congress, who since last many days are working to help COVID patients, their relatives and also those who can’t afford food during lockdown. These youths have set an example to help society in such tough times.” Panjikar said.
Block President Ashwin De Souza welcomed, while Miss Saisha Bagkar proposed a vote of thanks.
