AAP members along with the residents of vagator marched today at the PWD office in Mapusa over water issues that are plaguing for years. AAP member Pujan Malvankar said that this issue is going on for a year now and no one has taken any heed of it. The pipelines running for household purpose are smaller than the commercial pipeline, why this injustice? The residents have to get tankers every day and that is not a solution. We have asked the PWD OFFICE in-charge to come and inspect the site. He further went on to say that the PWD department had setup a tank 10 years ago as a permanent solution for all this water problems, but to our surprise when we went to inspect the tank is not operating and there are no pipes for that tank. Earnest Dsouza a resident of vagator said I have brought this issue several times on media and have also visited our Local MLA Vinoda Paliencar over this water issue and he keeps ignoring this issue. Every year new officers come and they give us new excuses every time. CM is acting like “Ali baba” and the 40 MLA’s are the 40 thieves he commented.
All the resorts and hotel receive plenty of water supply but we locals have to suffer for drinking water. Umesh Colvalkar another resident of Anjuna said that maximum wards in Anjuna does not receive proper water supply, this problem is at the ground level and does not need to go higherup to solve this issue, if the inspection is done properly at the ground level.
AAP member Pujan Malvankar conclude saying this time when the officers come for inspection we along with the residents of Vagator and Anjuna re going to take them to every corner where this water problem exists and request for immediate action on the same.

“BJP Govt is boasting about “Har Ghar Jal”, what is the use of having a tap in every house if there is no water supply? Our Govt was awarded as the first state to provide Har Ghar Jal, but the government has failed to provide water. Given the situation, it looks like Goans are going to suffer a lot during summers, CM Sawant is busy pleasing his masters sitting at the centre. He has already compromised Mother Mhadei, only Lord Bodgeshwar can save us now.”, said Umesh Colvalkar.
