Panaji: AAP in Goa on Wednesday said that they will support any candidate fielded by INDIA alliance in both the Lok Sabha seats in the state.
AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar said that during the recent visit of party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had said that the discussion is on for AAP to contest on one seat.
“We have shortlisted three candidates each from North and South Goa respectively. The cadre has already started galvanising support in favour of INDIA alliance,” he said.
Palekar said that his party will respect any decision taken by INDIA alliance about Goa seats.
“We have given our names to the central leadership and waiting for the announcement from them,” he said adding that the party will support “whoever is the candidate, even if he is from our alliance partner.”
When asked about the recent decision of Congress party to seek application from the aspirant candidates, Palekar said that is their internal matter.
