Valpoi: In a tragic incident, Rohit Bhago Varak from Pali, Sattari hung himself inside his house after his parents failed to give him mobile phone for his online studies of tenth standard.

Valpoi Police said that the boy had been demanding mobile phone for him for his online studies with the parents, who are financially unsound. He was upset after they could not get him the gadget, after which he hung himself to death at his residence. His body was recovered on Thursday.

The student was studying at Govt School, Dongurlim, Thane in Sattari. The body has been taken for postmortem at Goa Medical College and Hospital. Valpoi Police are investigating the case.
