Margao: Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has said that it was his mistake to support Pramod Sawant as a chief minister of the state after the demise of Manohar Parrikar in March 2019.
Khaunte has also said that Laxmikant Parsekar was better administrator compared to Pramod Sawant, considering the current state of affairs of state treasury.
The Independent MLA said this while participating in Prime Media’s program ‘Prime Rajkaran’ hosted by senior Journalist Rupesh Samant.
Khaunte said that Parsekar despite the initial hiccups of three months had managed to run the state in a better way compared to Sawant. The former minister said that he shared personally a good rapport with Sawant but does not approve his style of functioning as CM.
“Sawant is busy doing his PR exercise. He can’t handle the administration,” the MLA said.
Khaunte also admitted that it was his mistake to support Sawant after the demise of Parrikar. But when asked who could have been other choice, if not Sawant, than Khaunte refused to answer.
