Panaji: Setting an example, State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Thursday pledged his organs post his death.
Rane was talking to reporters after inaugurating State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO), which is necessary for the process of organ donation and transplant in the State.
“I always believe that we should set an example for others. As the health minister and responsible citizen of this country, I have done my duty,” he said pledging his organs post death.
The minister registered his organ donation by filing up the form of National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO).
The BJP MLA represents Valpoi assembly constituency in North Goa.
He said that due to setting up of SOTTO several people who were waiting for organ transplant in the state can now avail the facility.
