Margao: Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai on Thursday said that he is ready to finance the purchase of Remdesivir medicine, which is required for the treatment of a BJP MLA who is currently admitted in ESI hospital.
“I am ready to get the Remdesivir medicine for him. It is unfortunate that government cannot procure the medicine. I am feeling bad that his condition has deteriorating. One vile of Remdesivir is what they can’t purchase,” he said.
“I am ready to spend money for his safety. Finally, he is my colleague. I was not talking to him but I have been talking to him since the time he is admitted in hospital,” Sardesai said.
“It is very unfortunate that government wants to shift the blame,” he said.
Remdesivir is a medicine outlined in the latest ICMR clinical management protocol for COVID19.
