Panaji: Goa Forward Party Chief Vijai Sardesai has said that the insensitivity of bureaucrats is one of the reason for slowdown of the State Administration.

Sardesai pointed out that ambitious announcement of providing relief in the form of infrastructure tax abolition for Goans on their houses was announced by State government but could not see the light of the day due to bureaucrats.

“The slowdown of the administration is not only because of sickness of the chief minister. It could be also due to insensitivity of the bureaucracy,” he said.

He said that the announcement about exempting infrastructure tax on the Houses up to 250 square metres was the announcement made by Chief minister on the floor of the House.

“It is a gift from the state government. If a Goan is constructing the house up to 250 square metres,  we are abolishing infrastructure tax on it, which means we are helping him with Rs 50,000,” he said.

“But that is not happening. They are playing volleyball. The law department sends to Advocate General who on the other hand sends to law department,” he said.

“This is an announcement on the floor of the House. It is solemn promise to the people of Goa. It needs to be implemented. This is due to insensitive bureaucracy. CM, before falling ill, had asked the officers why it is not happening,” he said.
