Panaji: Vice President of India C P Radhakrishnan arrived in Goa on Friday on his two-day-long visit to the coastal state.
Goa chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant in presence of State Governor P Ashok Gajapathi Raju welcomed the Vice President at INS Hansa naval base in Vasco.
Radhakrishnan later arrived at Lok Bhavan, near Panaji.
In a post on X handle, the chief minister wrote “Extended a warm welcome to Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan Ji on his arrival in Goa.”
“Hon’ble Vice President will grace the 40th Goa Statehood Day celebrations on 30th May, joining the people of Goa in commemorating this significant milestone in the State’s journey of progress and development,” he added.
Government spokesman said that the Vice President will depart from the coastal state on Saturday evening.
