Morjim: A 33-year-old Russian national died due to drowning at Morjim beach on Sunday, while the locals rescued his woman partner.
A senior police official said that Russian national Dimitri Lvov (33) who was holidaying in North Goa along with his partner Irina Rudemko were swimming at Morjim beach at 5 am when the incident happened.
Both of them were pulled in the water due to strong undercurrents, he said adding Irina was saved by locals, but Lvov got drowned. Police said that the body was later recovered at the beach by the lifeguards.
