PANAJI: Goa police on Friday announced that they have undertaken Operation Flushout deporting seventy-seven (77) illegally overstaying foreigners including 26 Bangladeshis.
Superintendent of Police (North) Rahul Gupta told reporters that operation Flushout involves intensive action against foreigners indulging in deliberate overstay and illegal activities.
He said that the district Police and Crime Branch have been continuously taking action in this regard, which has been intensified in May and June 2025.
Gupta said that as per data available from Foreigners Regional Registration Office of Goa Police there are 77 illegally overstaying foreigners who were deported from Goa since January 01, 2025 till June 27, 2025 “Amongst the 77 includes 32 males and 47 females from different countries,” he said.
He said that out of the 32 male deported by FRRO Goa includes Russia (13), Bangladesh (12) and one each from Uganda, Nigeria, Poland, Morocco, British, Ukraine and Mauritius.
Gupta said that out of the 47 females deported by FRRO Goa includes Uganda (17), Bangladesh (14), Russia (12) and one each including British, Ukraine, Belarus and Argentina.
“The action against illegally overstaying immigrants will continue considering the security prospects of our nation,” he said.
