Tourists wants us to continue with GoaMiles service- Tourism Minister

Porvorim: Backing the app-based taxi service system, Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar today told House that the government has received positive feedback from the tourists and general public on the service of GoaMiles.

Ajgaonkar said that the tourist and general public have expressed overwhelming response during their travel and have suggested continuing the GoaMiles service for the betterment of the tourism sector.

“GoaMiles app based taxi service has revolutionised the transportation system for all stakeholders, which includes taxi drivers, tourist and locals, in the state of Goa,” Minister said in a written reply to a question tabled by Congress MLA Alexio Lourenco.

He said that upon the launch of Goa miles app in August 2018, the strength of taxi fleet has shown substantial rise and this itself is evident to the fact that the taxi drivers are eager to get on board of the said app.

Ajgaonkar informed that GoaMiles is an initiative of Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. and a technology product of PITASYS Software Pvt. Ltd., which eases travelling woes of Tourist visiting the state of Goa and also to the general public.
