Panaji: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Engr. Cruz Silva on Thursday demanded that the Goa government extend the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Assembly to at least 15 days, saying the scheduled three-day session is inadequate for deliberating on several pressing issues facing the state.
Silva said crucial departments such as Health, Town and Country Planning (TCP), Power, and Agriculture require detailed discussions in the House.
He said the government must also answer questions relating to issues such as No Development Areas (NDA), No Development Zones (NDZ), electricity supply, healthcare, pending infrastructure projects, unemployment, corruption, and inflation.
Questioning how such important matters could be adequately debated in just three days, the AAP legislator urged the government to convene a full-fledged 15-day Monsoon Session to ensure meaningful legislative discussions and accountability.
