Three arrested in Karnataka, Hyderabad and Goa for murdering a labourer

Collem: In a major search operation, Goa police have arrested three persons from Karnataka, Hyderabad and Goa respectively cracking a murder case of a labourer at Collem village in South Goa.
Collem police arrested three accused Ramesh Talwar (Karnataka), Shivam Rajput (Goa) and Chandrakant Bhagyawant (Hyderabad) for murdering Philip Medar Kispotta from Jharkhand. The dead body of Philip was found behind Collem Railway Station in South Goa on October 24, 2023.
A senior police official said that multiple fracture injuries were reported on the body during the postmortem, resulting in the police filing case of murder against unknown accused.
He said that during the investigation, it was revealed that the deceased had a fight with all the three accused on October 23 and since then all of them were not seen in the locality.
The first success in the case was received on October 27 when Collem police arrested accused Ramesh Talwar at his native place near Idkal dam in Karnataka, the official said.
During the interrogation, the accused confessed of the crime after which on the same day, second accused Shivam Rajput was found near Collem Railway Station.
He said that on the same day, Collem police team left for Hyderabad and arrested third accused Chandrakant Bhagyawant on October 28.
The entire operation was undertaken by Police Inspector Sagun Sawant, PSI Ajay Dhuri, Sadanand Desai, Vibhavari Gaonkar, Varshanda Naik Desai, ASI Sumanth Gaonkar, Head constables Premnath Sawant, Vinay Desai, constables Shankar Naik, Dilesh Singhadi, Deval Kudalkar, Vijendra Gaonkar and Home Guard Daudsab Nadaf.
