New Delhi: Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar along with Canacona Chairperson Shri Ramakant Naik Gaonkar and Shri Shamba Naik Dessai visited official residence of Nitin Gadkari, Central Minister for Road transport and Highways at New Delhi.
The delegation submitted him proposal for installation of Statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the traffic island at the entrance of NH66 on Canacona-Karwar bypass road. (Electricity Sub Station)Shri. Gadkari has accepted the proposal and gave a 100% assurance for the same.
Also made a plea to him regarding the land acquisition for NH66 Highway from Benode to Canacona, a 14 km stretch which would require a fund of 76 crores. Shri. Gadkari has again assured us and has given instructions to officials to expedite the process.
