Supreme Court has upheld the order and the apex court has told to make fresh reservations in the next ten days. Amonkar said that the decision was a landmark judgements not only for Goa but for entire country which has set an example and thanked former AG, Supreme Court advocates who fought for the Justice for women which had helped people continue faith in Judiciary. Amonkar said that the position of the Government was shameful which had failed completely. Amonkar demanded that the urban development minister Milind Naik be dropped immediately and the new reservation be done sequentially and delay in elections was a waste of taxpayers money . Amonkar said that the victory against injustice was a victory of democracy
Amonkar said that he was confident that justice would prevail against women reservations and wanted to question why the CM Dr Pramod Sawant was quiet when his own cabinet Minister Mauvin Godinho and Carlos Almeida was demanding the resignation of Milind Naik who was the mastermind of wrong reservations causing injustice to women, SC ST and Obc clan and the state government had caused the murder of democracy
Amonkar said that Supreme court had questioned the hurry of announcing the elections . Amonkar said that there was no hurry to announce the elections and said that Milind Naik was responsible for the fiasco
