Panaji: Stating that there is no proper water supply in Siolim, All Goa Private Bus Owners Association General Secretary, Sudeep Tamhankar slammed government’s claim of ‘har ghar jal’ which states that all houses in Goa have tap water supply.
Informing that a letter has been submitted concerning this issue, Tamhankar said, “Recently, chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant under “har ghar jal” was appreciated for providing tap water in every household. But people in Siolim don’t get proper water supply, what is the use of these taps? We have written a letter demanding proper water supply in Siolim. PWD minister has given us assurance that these water problems will be solved.”
Speaking about the dilapidated condition of roads in Siolim, Tamhankar said, “These are accident prone roads which need to be repaired urgently.”
There is also Electricity problem in Siolim. We have asked for underground cables which is a safer alternative, added Tamhankar who has written to Nilesh Cabral, power minister asking him to address this problem.
