Valpoi: Deputy Collector of Sattari Mangaldas Gaonkar holds a meeting of Health official and Sarpanches to tackle the panic situation in Sattari.
While addressing meeting Deputy Collector said that due to fake messages on social media, the panic situation has gripped in some areas of Sattari and to tackle this we have called representatives from local bodies so that they can create awareness in their areas.
The citizen should follow all the guidelines like wearing a mask and sanitizing their hands regularly. He further said if anyone found spreading wrong information then strict action will be taken under Disaster Management act.
People should not panic as all precautionary measure are already taken, like sanitizing the place, contact tracing, swab collection of suspects etc.
Medical Officer in charge of Community Health Centre Valpoi Dr Shyam Kankonkar gave advocacy lecture on COVID 19 and explained about the standard operating procedure.
He further said that all necessary action has been taken by the health department where the positive case is been found. He further appeals to a local representative to educate people on Covid19.
