Salcete Young Stallions beat CQS Young Dynamites in the inaugural match by 5 wickets and 5 balls to spare while Tiswadi Antruz Bhatagram Young Saraswat Royals beat Mapusa Young Dream Crushers by 7 wickets with 15 balls to spare.

The president of Goa Cricket Association, Shri. Suraj Lotliker was the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony of SARSANGAN 2020 Cricket Tournament while Shri. Jagannath (Desh) Prabhudesai was the Guest of Honour along with dignitaries, Shri. Yogesh Naik, President of MCC and Shri. Apoorva Bhembre, Hon. Secretary of MCC.

Subhav Sinai Borker and Viraj Lad were awarded the man of the match awards at the hands of the guests Rajesh Colvalkar, Satyesh Kamat and Gaurish & Poonam Dalvi, Amod Borkar respectively.

In the opening match, put in to bat first, CQS Young Dynamites put up 145 in 20 overs thanks to the openers Aryan Prabhudesai  who made 36 and Dhruv Bhende who scored 31, They were assisted by Shridhar Keni who made 24. Krish Pai Khot was the pick of the bowlers picking 3-14 and was ably supported by Subhav Sinai Borker 2-14, Pranav Nagarsenkar 2-20 and Sahil Neurekar 1-25. Chasing 146, Salcete Young Stallions reached the target with 5 wickets and 5 balls to spare. Ankur Kunde top scored with 35 while Sanat Prabhudesai made 34 and Subhav Borker 28.

Aryan Prabhudesai picked 2-22 while Shamik Kamat 1-15 and Vrushabh Kuncolienkar 1-20 were the other successful bowlers. Subhav Sinai Borker was awarded the man of the match award at the hands of the guests Rajesh Colvalkar and Satyesh Kamat

In the second match, put in to bat, Mapusa Young Dream Crushers could muster 115/8 with Smit Dalvi top scoring with 36. Vardhan Miskin 29, Neel Netravalkar 20 and Dishank Miskin 11 were the notable contributors. Aniket Timble 2-11, Manish Pai Kakode 2-20, Smitesh Divekar 2-24 and Somay Naik 1-9 were the successful bowlers. Chasing 116, Tiswadi Antruz Bhatagram Young Saraswat Royals reached the target with 7 wickets and 15 balls to spare, thanks to Viraj Lad 36, Prabhakar Shetye 28 and Pratham Kossambe 25, Smit Dalvi 1-20 and Gaurav Gaitone 1-22 were the successful bowlers. Viraj Lad was awarded the man of the match award at the hands of the guests Gaurish & Poonam Dalvi and Amod Borkar

Earlier, SARSANGAN 2020 GSB Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp by the president of Goa Cricket Association, Shri. Suraj Lotliker who was the Chief Guest while Shri. Jagannath (Desh) Prabhudesai was the Guest of Honour along with dignitaries,Shri. Yogesh Naik, President of MCC and Shri. Apoorva Bhembre, Hon. Secretary of MCC.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Suraj Lotliker appreciated the Saraswat Sports Sangh Charitable Trust for organising such tournaments which help spot young talents at grass root level. He further expressed his thoughts in developing quality infrastructure for cricket at the MCC Ground, Margao. Desh Prabhudesai, President of Goa Saraswat Samaj promised his full support for Sarsangan 2020 appreciating the efforts of the organising committee giving young Saraswats the much needed platform to showcase their talent in competitive matches with the hope of finding hidden talent among Saraswat community.

Gomakant Mahambrey welcomed the dignitaries, Aditya Angle compered the function while Santosh Kamat proposed the vote of thanks.
