Read this if you want to crack GPSC’s BDO and Mamlatdar test on February 19

Panaji: The Goa Public Service Commission will conduct examinations in computer based recruitment test ( CBRT) form for the positions of Mamlatdar and Block Development Officers for the Personnel Department of Government of Goa on February 19, 2023.

The commission had advertised for these positions in November 2022 and had received over 4000 applications for the post of BDO and over 1000 for the post of Mamlatdar.

There are 14 vacancies for Mamlatdar ( 8 unreserved , 4 OBC , 1 ST and 1 EWS) whereas for the BDO there are 10 positions ( 5 unreserved , 2OBC , 1 ST and 1 EWS ) . One vacancy  for person with disabilities ( PwD) is reserved in each position . There will be a prescreening test for the BDO candidates mainly covering areas of logical reasoning and aptitude, whereas for the Mamlatdar post there will be a direct screening exam to shortlist candidates for the interviews . The prescreening will be a 60 mark  paper while for the Mamlatdar it will be a 75 mark paper to be completed in 75 minutes . Candidates who pass the pre screening test for BDO post will have to answer the screening exam thereafter The syllabus for the Mamlatdar exam comprises topics like Goa Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act.

Communidade System , The Goa Daman and Diu Mundkars (protection from eviction )Act.

Constitution of India and related topics besides logical reasoning and aptitude , English and general knowledge .

The exam will be conducted at five centers across the state and results of the exam will be displayed on the computer screen of the candidate  at the end of each exam .

The commission has a robust grievance redressal mechanism in place  in case candidates wish to raise a grievance regarding a particular question or questions.
