Porvorim: Goa Forward Party MLA Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday quoted words from a tweet BJP MP Subramanian Swamy’s tweet to claim that state government has turned incompetent.
Sardesai was speaking on thanks giving motion on the address of Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik during the ongoing Budget Session of the assembly.
“Just a day after central budget was presented BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has tweeted ‘when a nation’s political leaders are afflicted by the Dunning Kruger Effect, the collapse is imminent,” the GFP leader said
“I am quoting Subramanian Swamy’s original tweet. He is Hindu Hrudaysamrat for few. That is his tweet on central government. But does our (Sawant-led) government work against Dunning Kruger effect?,” he questioned.
“Government has 27 MLAs but the incompetency is at its peak. BJP Minister Michael Lobo himself admits that there is inefficiency. Goa is watching you,” he said adding that Dunning Kruger Effect is “superiority complex born out of incompetence.”
Speaking further, Sardesai sought to know the details of the memorandum given by Goa government to Fifteen Finance Commission members who were on the visit to the state recently.
“There are news reports that Goa is facing fiscal trap. State is facing liquidity crisis. We are being given different figures on the borrowings,” he said.
Sardesai claimed that the Governor’s speech has “wrong figures” on GST front and revenue collection.
The GFP leader said that the growth is declining in the state and all the symptoms indicate that the state is “sinking”.
“We are not going forward, you all are sinking the state,” he added.
