Porvorim: After clarifying that the mutation certificate to Puja Sharma was not issued within 24 hours, Revenue Minister Babush Monserratte has appealed journalists “not to go around with camera and ask questions, but do investigative journalism.”
Talking to reporters outside the Assembly complex, Monserratte said that if mutation is done within 24 hours, then it is not wrong.
“We are here for the public. Find out how many Goans have been given mutation certificate within 24 hours. Go and find out. Important for you is to do investigative journalism, don’t just go around with the camera and ask questions.”
On asked about opposition MLA Vijai Sardesai walking out accusing Monserratte of not replying to their questions during demands for grants, the minister said “I have replied as per the fact on the floor of the House for demands. Whatever reply needs to be given, I have given it. Whatever they have asked as cut motion, we have responded. There was no merit in their cut motion.”
“South Goa Collectorate is a new building. The repair work has been going on,” he said.
