Porvorim: The opposition benches rushed to the well of the House after Speaker Rajesh Patnekar refused to listen to their plea to order Minister Vishwajit Rane to answer the question on Coal Block.

The question was raised on the floor of the House by Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte which was replied by the minister, but sought to postpone it. Khaunte demanded that the minister should immediately reply as there is no rule allowing the question to be postponed by the minister once reply is furnished.

He alleged that the state government was trying to hide a coal block scam by escaping from facing the opposition.

Goa Forward Party MLA Vijai Sardesai too joined Khaunte stating that the let minister said that the answer on coal block is wrong. He said that the government was trying to hide a Rs 1,000 crore scam.

MGP MLA Sudin Dhavalikar said that only the Speaker has the right to postpone the question , if he finds that the answer is wrong.

As the Speaker called for the next question, opposition members rushed to the Well of the House. The Speaker adjourned the Assembly for 15 minutes.
