Panaji: Calangute police have arrested 09 accused persons all native of Pune, Maharashtra for rioting, assaulting a minor boy after outraging modesty of his minor sister.

As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complainant had appeared at the police station and informed that on 29/05/2018 while they were sitting on a shack on Baga beach while their children were moving on the beach. Further some 11 persons started clicking pictures of their minor daughter on the beach with intention to outrage her modesty. Further when their minor son questioned the persons about the pictures they assaulted him with fist blows and slaps.

PI Dalvi informed that an FIR was registered immediately under sections 143, 147, 323, 354 R/w 149 IPC and Section 8 of Goa Childrens Act ans staff was directed to apprehend the accused persons.

Further the police apprehended  all the accused persons before they could flee from Goa  and brought them at the police station. As two accused involved  were minor in age they were lodged in Apna Ghar, Merces – Goa.

During the course of investigation the police have recorded the statement of minor victim girl and the boy in the presence of a NGO. The mobile phone used to click pictures of the minor girl has been taken into custody by the police under the panchanama and the same will ne forwarded to Forensic Laboratory for analysis.

Accused persons namely  1. Ramesh Kamble, 2. Sanket Bhadale, 3. Krishna Patil, 4. Satyam Lambe, 5. Aniket Gurav, 6. Rushikesh Gurav, 7.  Akash Suvaskar, 8. Sunny More and 9. Ishwar Pangare, all native of Pune, Maharashtra have been placed under arrest and lodged in police lockup.

Further investigation is in progress with PSI Mahesh Naik under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
