Panaji : The Village Panchayat of Nerul has called for a 7 days self lockdown of the entire Nerul Village from 5th to 10th May 2021. The restriction timings have been imposed. and the public has been once again asked to make use of masks compulsory while moving inside the village.
Shops dealing in essential commodities are allowed to be open and operate from 6 AM to 11 AM. Religious Marriage ceremonies are allowed at religious places subject to permission from Dy Collector.
Banks have been requested by the panchayat to serve the public till 2 PM, after 2 Pm the staff can do office work behind closed doors. Postal offices will be open till 1 PM. Traditional fishing and agricultural activities will be allowed beyond restricted timings.
Firms, companies, people dealing with the internet, cable tv and telephones and all other services like electricity, LPG, water will be allowed to operate beyond restricted timings.
Courier services and online shopping deliveries will be allowed upto 7 PM. Alos allowed beyond restricted timings are : private security services, pre-monsoon works and urgent development works and essential services  like hospitals, clinics, vaccinations, pharmacies, veterinary services, animal care and other medical services.
Transport vehicles of essential supply of commodities will be allowed inside the village. Restaurant Kitchen enrolled with home delivery agencies like swiggy and Zomato etc will be allowed for home delivery up to 9PM.
Shops like Hair cutting, spa, gym, tattoo, garments, beauty parlour, dry fruits, etc shops not engaged in essential services will remain closed. Swimming pools, sports grounds, pubs, bars, restaurants, all shops and kiosks will remain closed.
The village panchayat has said that they will proceed to take action including sealing of shops and stores if any business or trade establishment is not following the required restriction. The public has been asked to not crowd the shops between 7 AM to 1 PM.
