NCP (Sharad Pawar) Goa chief Jose Philip D’Souza on Wednesday said that the Congress should not delay announcing of the candidate in both the Parliamentary seats of Goa.

Goa has two Parliamentary constituencies — North and South Goa. INDIA Bloc has decided that both the constituencies would be contested by Congress candidate.

“There is also delay in announcing the candidate. Congress should not wait . We are waiting to campaign for the official candidate but we don’t know whom the ticket would be given,” D’Souza said.

When contacted, GPCC President Amit Patkar said that the party has already began campaign in both the parliamentary constituencies. “We will be announcing the candidates any time from now,” he said.
