Bambolim: Minister Vishwajit Rane visited the site of the State Cancer Institute at Goa Medical College (GMC) today to review the progress of the project.
He expressed satisfaction over the steady progress of the shuttering and reinforcement work of the slab for the LINAC facility. A puja was also performed at the site to mark this important milestone.
The LINAC facility will make the State Cancer Institute the first government hospital in Goa to offer this advanced radiation treatment technology.
In collaboration with the Tata Memorial Centre, the institute will provide comprehensive, accessible, and affordable cancer care, reducing the need for patients from Goa to travel outside the state for treatment.
