Vasco: The midnight drama was witnessed at Dabolim airport during the intervening night of June 01-02 when few of the passengers who arrived on repatriation flight from Dubai to the coastal state refused to pay for their quarantine facility.

As per MHA, all the international travelers have to pay for their quarantine of seven days in designated hotels, after which they are sent for home quarantine.

The flight carrying 110 passengers, almost all Goans, arrived at Dabolim Airport around 12.30 mid night on June 01-02, after which some of the passengers refused to pay for the quarantine facility as they were standing in a queue to give their samples.

Chaotic situation prevailed at the airport after which police and paramilitary force manning the facility had to intervene. It was only after four hour long arguments that finally passengers agreed to move to paid quarantine.

  1. This is real harrasment to our Goans.
Somany of them have lost their jobs n were waiting to return to their homes.
They were surviving in Dubai with whatever little left with them.
And when they are happy that everything was fine n they finally reached their home.
The Govt waits to harass them.
    Not fare at all.
Where is the Covid fund ???
If youl cant even help Goans who are not able to pay.
