Panaji : The gifts and mementos presented to Prime Minister
Narendra Modi by various famous personalities are being e-auctioned from Sept 17 and will be held till Oct 7.
Prime Minister Modi in a tweet said said; “Over time, I have received several gifts and mementos which are being auctioned. This includes the special mementos given by our Olympics heroes. Do take part in the auction. The proceeds would go to the Namami Gange initiative.”
These gifts include the sports equipments of the medal winners and participants
of the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics and Tokyo Paralympics.
Gifts to be e-auctioned also include replica of Ram Mandir,
Chardham and Rudraksha Auditorium amongst other items. The
proceeds from the auction will go to Namami Gange Mission
which aims to conserve and rejunevate the River Ganga.
This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of history, while also contributing
towards a noble cause. Union Minister of state for Ports, Shipping
& Waterways and Tourism Shripad Naik has appealed to the people to participate in this noble cause. You may visit the website
