Kanhaiya Kumar visits Shree Shantadurga Kuncolienkarin Temple on the occasion of Jatrotsav

Fatorpa – Congress youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar on Friday 7th January visited Shree Shantadurga Kuncolienkarin Temple at Fatorpa on the occasion of annual Jatra Festival and prayed for the well being of all.

He was accompanied by Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, GPCC Vice President Vithoba Dessai, Youth Congress General Secretary Archit Naik, Quepem Congress Candidate Altone D’Costa and others.

I am feeling blessed to visit this magnificient temple. I am extremely delighted to see huge number of devotees attending the festival. This is unique and needs to be preserved for pausterity. Kanhaiya Kumar said during the visit.

I am told that Hindus as well as Christians come to pray at this temple. This is essence of Indian Culture. It is our duty to preserve this, Kanhaiya Kumar said.

He visited the precinct of the temple and also various stalls put up for the Jatrotsav. He appreciated the traditional “Chitari Craft” of Goa.

Later, Kanhaiya Kumar visited Shree Shantadurga Fatoroekarin Temple and offered prayers. The Managing Committee members of both the temples welcomed Kanhaiya Kumar and others.
