IMD Goa issues weather warning for state

Panaji : India Meteorological Department, Goa (IMD) has informed that a Low-Pressure Area has formed over the Bay of Bengal off south Odisha-­north Andhra Pradesh coasts, and a shear zone runs roughly along Latitude 18°N between 3.1km& 7.6km above mean sea level.
IMD Goa has issued orange warning on 6th and 7th September while yellow warning 8th, 9th and 10th September in the state of Goa.
“Very Heavy Rainfall(Rainfall>11.5cm in 24hrs) very likely at one or two places over North & South Goa districts on 6th & 7th September. Heavy rainfall(Rainfall>6.4cm in 24hrs) is very likely from 6th to 10th. Warnings for fishermen are there from 6th September onwards for 5 days,” said IMD.
