The Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ) will hold its sixth workshop under the ‘GUJ WORKSHOP SERIES’ on Saturday, August 22.
The workshop session will be on ‘The Evolution of Newspaper Typography, Design and Technology in Goa’. Former Principal, Goa College of Art, art educator, and independent researcher Wilfred ‘Willy’ Goes will be the resource person.
The workshop will focus and explore the evolution of newspaper typography and reproduction technologies in Goa during the 19th century, offering insights into the printing practices, techniques and advancements in print technology that shaped newspaper production.
The ‘GUJ WORKSHOP SERIES’ is open for all journalists and will be held at GUJ hall, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, 11am.
‘GUJ WORKSHOP SERIES’, is a bimonthly event initiated by the Goa Union of Journalists to sensitise its members on various subjects concerning the field of journalism.
