GState govt to disseminate ‘home isolation kits’ for Covid-19 patients: Health Minister

Panaji: Goa government will provide home isolation kit for the COVID19 positive patients, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said on Friday.
“Packs of Thermometer, Oxymeter, Spirometer, Hand Sanitizer, N95 Mask, Triple layer mask, Gloves, Vitamin C tablet, Vitamin D tablet and Hydroxychloroquine tablets will be given free of charge in the ‘Home Isolation Kit’ to Covid 19 positive patients,” Rane said.
“Public Health Centres (PHC) of the state to be Nodal body for distribution of “Home Isolation Kits”, the health minister informed.
He also added that a second ward at the Goa Medical College (GMC) will be converted into a completely dedicated COVID ward, that will be commissioned within the next few days.
“Our team will work towards fast-tracking procedures as COVID-19 is moving up the spectrum,” he said adding that Dental College nurses will also be deployed at GMC.
Rane also informed that team of doctors and officials from Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) will be conducting inspection of South Goa District Hospital.
Talking about the digitisation of COVID -19 data the health minister informed, “With the support of GEL, we have started the process of digitizing all records related to COVID-19.”
