Goa’s first biodigester toilet donated to Nerul Church

Saligao: Goa’s first every biodigester community toilet was inaugurated at Our Lady of Remedios Church, Nerul. The toilet construction is an initiative of local MLA and State RDA Minister Jayesh Salgaonkar.

The toilet, which is first of its kind in the State will serve the Parishioners at the Church. This is not  government funded project.

“Government is still in the process of tendering biodigester toilets in the State while we have taken a step forward and already introduced it for the Church,” Salogankar told reporters after inaugurating the project.

The Church has completed 450 years of its construction this year.

Salgaonkar said that projects like this are being introdued in the constituency to make difference for the lives of the people. He said that Goa Tourism Development Corporation will also undertaken beautification of the area surrounding the Church.
