Goa reduces VAT on petrol, diesel, prices to go down by Rs. 5

Panaji:Goa government on Thursday announced reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel in the State by Rs 2.5 per litre by decreasing the Value Added Tax on it.

This decrease would be in addition to the one introduced by Centre. This means the prices will be less by Rs 5 per litre.

State Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who is currently being treated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi announced the decrease in price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.5 per litre each.

The decision to reduce the price was made public after Centre reduced the prices by Rs 2.5 per litre.

“Many thanks to PM @narendramodi ji for the #FuelPriceCut of Rs 2.50 per ltr. Goa government will further reduce fuel pries by Rs 2.50 in the state,” Parrikar tweeted.
