Goa Govt sanctions Rs 5 crore financial help towards Kerala Relief Fund

Panaji: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has sanctioned Rs 5 crore as Goa government’s contribution towards Kerala CM’s relief fund for flood relief operations.
In a press statement released today by CMO, it is said that Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 5 crore as State’s contribution toward Kerala CM’s relief fund.
In addition to this, all employees of Goa government and autonomous bodies are expected to voluntarily contribute their one day salary towards food relief work in Kerala, CMO said.
“Goa stands in solidarity with the people of Kerala,” CMO added.
Parrikar, who was in USA for health check up at the time when the southern state was hit by the worst ever calamity, arrived in Goa on Wednesday evening.
