Panaji: Trained Nurses Association of India’s Goa Branch today held a peaceful march in the city in solidarity to the nationwide strike called by their parent body. The Association however said that they are not protesting in Goa as they are happy with the way State government has handled their problem.
Association Chief Kuntal Kerkar told reporters at Azad Maidan today that the march was “not a protest rally” but a gesture to support the parent association at all India level which has called for the protest today.
“In fact, in Goa we are very happy with the support given to us by Chief Minister, Health Department and Health Ministry. Majority of our problems have been sorted out due to intervention of the government,” she said.
