Panaji: All the casinos including off shore ones will stop their operations for eight hours from 8 a.m onwards on Monday, Jan 22 to observe the consecration of Shree Ram Temple at Ayodhya.
Shrinivas Nayak, Director of Majestic Pride group, said that all the casinos have unanimously decided, on their own, to shut down their operations from 8 am till 4 pm on Monday.
He said that the decision was taken a mark of respect towards Shree Ram. “When everyone is keeping their businesses closed and giving holidays to participate in this once-a-liftime event, why should not we do it,” he said.
Nayak said that the casino staff will get time to pray and watch the ceremony from Ayodhya live during the period when the casino operations are off.
