Goa Budget to be presented by March end: CM

Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that he would be presenting the State Budget by end of March, with focus of making Goa self sufficient.

Sawant told reporters that he would be present the State Budget by end of March. “The Union Budget was about Atmanirbhar Bharat, our Budget will be for Swayampoorna Goa,” the chief minister said.

He was speaking to the reporters reacting about the Union Budget presented in Parliament on Monday.

Sawant welcomed the announcement of Rs 300 crore fot the celebration of 60 th year of Goa’s Liberation. He said that the state government will ensure that the finance sanctioned for the celebration benefits common man of the state.

He also said that the state will benefit from central government’s announcement of free food grain supply to the migrants under One Nation One Card policy.

The Chief Minister said that the state will benefit from the boost to the blue economy given in the Central Budget. He also announced opening of “Eklavya School “ in Goa for which the provision has been made in the central budget.
