Panaji: Goa Forward Party on Monday alleged that the announcement of Rs 300 crore for Celebration of Goa’s Liberation was infact “agent fees for the sale of River Mhadei.”
GFP Chief Vijai Sardesai said that “BJP do not understand Goa and do not care about Goa.”
In a reaction to the Union Budget, Sardesai said “Pramod Sawant and the BJP do not understand Goa, and do not care about Goa. The 300-crore budget allocation for Goa’s Liberation Day celebrations are not the priority for our state which is facing its biggest debt-crisis in our modern-day
history.”
He said that Goa needs Stimulus packages for local Goan industries and sectors which include traditional occupations, manufacturing, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals, Tax incentives for Goan owned tourism operators and Immediate mining relief for Goan owned firms.
“It is clear that the 300 crores are Pramod Sawant’s agent fees for the sale of River Mhadei, and an advanced deposit for the sale of Mollem soon,” he added.
