Panaji: GMCH kiosk vendors have decided to withdraw hunger strike but continue with the protest demanding their rehabilitation by the state government.

St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes and St Andre MLA Francis Silveira met the protesting kiosk vendors at GMCH on Saturday requesting them to withdraw their agitation.

Inacio Domnick Pereira, one of the protestor, said that both the MLAs requested to withdraw the protest and said that the work will be completed within one month.

“However, protestors have resolved that the chain hunger strike will be kept on hold but the protest will continue for a month till possession of the place is given,” he said.
