Saligao: Goa Forward Party leader and RDA Minister Jayesh Salgaonkar has fulfilled the long pending demand of devotees of Shri Sharvani Devi at Saligao by providing proper road to the temple.
The road leading to Shri Sharvani Devi, which is the village deity of Saligao, was blocked putting rubbles making it accessible only to single side four wheeler.
Salgaonkar said that the property was brought by one Sudan Desai with the tarred road and was not allowing to repair and maintain it.
All the residents have now got together and cleared the road.
The general belief is that on the day of Shri Shravani Devi Utsav and Palkhi procession, devi herself got the road cleared which was pending for so many years, Salgaonkar said.
The minister has said that he had promised to stand by people, and will always remain with them.
