Mortal remains of Vishnu Wagh brought to Goa

Ponda: Mortal remains of former Deputy Speaker Vishnu Wagh were brought to Goa in an early morning flight today.

Art and Culture Minister Govind Gawade was present along with Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunita Sawant, Rajan Ghosalkar, Ramrao Wagh and Devidas Amonkar when the body arrived.

The body will be kept for public homage at Dayanand Bandodkar Stadium, Near Kashi Mutt at Bandora, Ponda.

At 2.50 pm, there will be eulogy by Minister for Art and Culture Govind Gawade, at 3 p.m. Goa Police will give Guard of honour.

Various ministers and Members of parliament will place wrath at 3.10 pm. while last rites on the body would be performed at 4 p.m. at Ponda Municipality’s Mukti Dham.
