Dona Paula: BJP’s National leader Nitin Gadkari on Monday resumed talks with the party leaders in Goa and alliance partner Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) to select new leader following demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
BJP MLA Vishwajit Rane and MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar, who are aspirants for the CM’s post attended the meeting while third contender Pramod Sawant who is also Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, was not present.
Goa Forward Party, the alliance partner of BJP, was also not called for the meeting.
Dhavalikar said that the situation on leadership front would be clear by 3 p.m today.
