Panaji: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has finally started speaking the language of tourist taxi operators while planning to keep cab aggregator Goa Miles away from getting into the business.

After attending a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Lobo said that the Cab Aggregators will not be allowed to pick up customers from hotels or beach stands, even if booking is done online.

He said that the tourist taxis are fitting with the digital meters now and hence the entire issue of unfair pricing has been done away with. “I appeal all the tourist taxi operators not to allow the Cab aggregators to pick up customers from their stand,” he said.

Lobo said that the queue system would be followed in each of the hotels.

He also said that the counter allotted to Goa Miles at Goa Airport will be withdrawn.
