Panaji: The rumours were rife about the reported meeting of eleven MLAs in a starred hotel at Cavelossim to dethrone Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant. GNH’s personal investigation and also comments from senior leaders have confirmed that it was a rumour.
GNH spoke to its sources in the BJP and also in the legislature wing to know whether this kind of meeting really happened. But everyone replied in negative. What is interesting is that majority of BJP MLAs are busy in Telangana election campaign.
BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade spoke to mediapersons at IFFI venue in presence of Subhash Phal Desai and Delilah Lobo to rubbish the rumours. He said that the MLAs are busy in election campaign and there was no such meeting to rebel against CM ever happened.
The rumours about the meeting started on Thursday afternoon after a social media post started making rounds. The post had no ownership but everyone started circulating it around. GNH as a responsible media house tried to confirm it but understood that it was fake.
