E-Commerce sites roped in for essential supplies in Goa

Panaji: Goa government on Sunday allowed the e-commerce platforms providing home delivery services to operate in the State during the lockdown period.

Chief minister Pramod Sawant announced that the e-commerce platforms including Swiggy and Zomato would be allowed to do home delivery of food and also essentials including grocery.

State is currently undergoing lockdown as a part of national exercise to fight back COVID-19.

Appealing people to stay indoor, chief minister said that the citizens can order their essentials through these platforms.

Meanwhile, State government on Sunday had Central Reserve Police Force battalions patrolling important areas of the state along with police force.
